Invitation to take part in the art competition organised by the Kunstverein der Di\u00f6zese Rottenburg-Stuttgart e.V.<\/h1>\n

As part of the \u2018Reichenauer K\u00fcnstler:innentagung 2025\u2019 from 10 to 12 October 2025 at Sch\u00f6ntal Monastery<\/strong>, the Kunstverein der Di\u00f6zese Rottenburg-Stuttgart cordially invites artists to take part in the art competition on the theme of \u2018Body and Soul\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The body is a place of memory in which the horizons of experience of society are inscribed in their various historical and cultural forms. Socially characterised value systems and memory practices as well as individual experiences become visible on the body – it is a repository and transmitter of cultural knowledge and social and personal identity(ies). The creative design and shaping of one’s own body is one of the central means of communication of our present day: by covering or displaying the body, a self-image is developed, social attributions are rejected or accepted. The body – be it the physical body or its reproduced image – is therefore a medium and means of expression that also plays a constitutive role in Christian visual cultures.<\/p>\n

Against the background of sociological, theological and art-historical questions, the Reichenau Artists’ Days 2025 aim to make an interdisciplinary contribution to the contemporary discourse on the body.<\/p>\n

The visual arts are the cornerstone of this cultural event.<\/h2>\n

We welcome entries that take up the theme of \u2018Body and Soul\u2019 and encourage all participants to express their personal perspective in their individual style. The competition offers artists the opportunity to present their work in the spacious premises of Sch\u00f6ntal Monastery over a period of six weeks. The award-winning works also serve as a basis for discussion and reflection on the conference theme. The artists benefit from great public visibility in this inspiring environment between art viewing, dialogue and music.<\/p>\n
